It Hurts Like Hell

¡Ay, caramba! The Rock Chick can’t win for losing. I think that's what I want to say, anyway. That phrase never made any sense to me.

As many of you know, I’ve spent the last several weeks kicking butt in my Catboots and hiring and firing psychiatrists, psychologists, therapists and social workers in order to assemble a competent treatment team for my daughter, which, I believe, has been done with success.

One would think this wouldn’t be so difficult, but as always, I am amazed at the levels of incompetence, sheer laziness and dishonesty of people who I’m assuming went to school for all of those years in order to help people. I’m now rethinking my assumption. I really should know better than to think so logically. It gets me into trouble every time.

After weeks of getting rid of the pain in the asses, I now find myself smack dab in the middle of another predicament. This one is a literal pain in the ass.

Perhaps I should warm up a little more before doing my Mortal Combat-like dropping spin kicks on people because somehow I have injured my back. I have pain shooing down one side of my butt into my leg. Sciatica. To quote my friend Aretha, it hurts like hell. At first, the doctor thought it was inflammation and prescribed steroids and muscle relaxers, but they didn’t work and the pain became so intense that it is now difficult to walk. This is not good at all considering the level of care my daughter currently needs.

So, tonight I am going for an MRI to find out why I have a literal pain in my ass. I just can’t help but think that it’s a shame they don’t have a machine to screen out the figurative ones, no?

Dang, you can't seem to catch a break Cat Woman. I understand that you are in the midst of taking care of business for your daughter, but please take care of yourself, so that you can be there full strength for your daughter (family). Get some rest and follow doctor's orders.

By the way. There are lazy folks in every profession, even in clinical care. You just have to weed them out as you have done.

When do you get the results?

Do YOU have evil license plates?? Luck sure hasn't been on your side lately!

Well, I can't completely honestly say I feel your pain because, well, that would be a neat little psychic trick...BUT...I AM all too familiar with the type of pain you are talking about. I've lived with it for the last 9 years!

Take care of your back. It's amazing the things you suddenly realize involve your back when it hurts like that!

Pjazzy: I know! I'm on some kind of bad luck streak here. I have to find something to turn that around. And I am weeding and weeding. I know they are everywhere. It just really bothers me when people's lives are at stake. If you want to be lazy, go be a bagger in the grocery store or something. Just my opinion :)

Crystal: no, no evil license plates, but something must have crept in somewhere. This is getting ridiculous!

Dustin: it's horrible. I guess if I knew how it happened I'd feel better about it, but seriously, I didn't lift anything, fall, trip, twist or anything that I can remember!
