Graduation Day

Today is a big day in the Rock Chick House!

Erica (aka Little Daughter) is graduating from 8th grade and as the Class President, she gets to make the commencement speech on behalf of her class. SO Exciting!

Here’s the official graduation portrait of my little beauty. This is just a proof so it has a lot of “noise” on it. We’re still waiting for the pictures I ordered to arrive.

Yesterday, we finished our last minute shopping for the perfect necklace and she got a pedicure. Erica is very ticklish and she has a giggle like “Tickle Me Elmo”. The person who worked on her at the salon had such a great time listening to her laugh that he actually refused his tip.

My Erica not only lights up a room, she brightens the lives of everyone around her. I am so proud of her and I can’t wait ‘til tonight to hear her speech and cry my eyes out when all the kids walk in to The Graduation March.

That song always kills me.

Congratulations to everyone in The Class of 2008. Wherever you are!

What a pretty little girl. I know you are very proud. These our the moments you remember in your old age (smile). Enjoy the graduation.

Congrats to your soon-to-be 9th grade daughter! I had to go to You Tube to find a Tickle Me Elmo clip because I had no idea what his laugh sounded like. Knowing that makes the pedicure story even funnier.

I can so imagine her having a tickle me Elmo moment, I would be the same way. She is a beauty and I am proud of her, may graduation be a great memory of many more to come.

Malcolm,

I can't believe you never heard Elmo laugh. He is adorable. I will be channel surfing and stop on Sesame Street when I see Elmo just to hear him laugh.
