Samantha Hollywood! (Blogathon 29)

This video contains an audio recording of "Stars and Stripes" featuring my not only beautiful, but very talented daughter, Samantha Hollywood (I didn't really name her that), on the piccolo solo. This was recorded last year and is the 7th & 8th grade Symphonic Band at our Jr. High School.

Sam plays in "all the bands" (5!) at school and while her primary instrument is the flute, she also rocks the piccolo, the saxophone and the bass guitar. This week, she will be starting some good old six string lessons, too! She is a perfect example of what a child can do with a public school music education program.

I added some pictures of all 4 kids performing in various things involving music- cheerleading and dance (did you ever try to dance without music?), "all the bands", choir and a few candids from concerts they put on at the house.

My kids couldn't imagine a life without music and I don't think anyone should have to.

No, that last picture is my friend, Tami. She is a FABULOUS singer and Sam's idol. That was taken at Sam's last birthday party!

I keep saying Judah has excellent taste in music! :)
