Rock The Boat (no...Rock The Roll!)

Shelly over at This Eclectic Life recently made a splash by asking her hubby to write a guest blog entry. Her hubby writes as well as she does! They could make an awesome blogging tag team.

I stumbled upon Shelly when she hosted her last "This Blog Blows My Dress Up contest. It's back for round #2! Since we both share a desire to achieve A-List Blogebrity status, I admit to keeping tabs on her. There’s a few reasons for this. Shelly’s a captivating writer and storyteller and I love to read her work. She is definitely going to the places that I want to go and ...it appears she's traded in her coffee for the much more potent google juice. Shelly has a interesting blog entry (sometimes two!) every day. You wouldn’t think this is a problem, but it is. (for me, not her!)

We have similar “rock the boat” notions and If I don’t learn to tip the boat over (write faster), she will have already written everything I’ve ever thought of writing. Where will I be if that happens? Stuck on the B-List forever along with Alice the Brady Bunch maid and Danny Bonaduce, co-writing a blog with Erik Estrada. I’m teasing, of course.

Erik Estrada doesn’t have a blog :)

Shelly always gives me lots of “Link Love” and inspiration, so am giving her some of my “Rock The Roll” (blogroll, that is!). I love her and I promise, so will you.

Jessica Morris over at Life As I See It is another one of my favorite bloggers. She is married to a soldier and has recently become a mom to one of the cutest babies ever! She tells open and honest stories about her life, her feelings, burnt lollipops and I just click with her.

Jessica also clicks really well with her camera and takes some pretty rockin’ pictures. She has an eye for photography and I have an eye for talent (and really nice people!) so other Jessica, here’s a “Rock The Roll” for you, too! HOOAH, baby! (while you're visiting her you can vote for her to get paid to blog for a year, too!)

I’m working on ideas to make “Rock The Roll” more exciting. Banners, contests, dancing girls?? While I’m thinking, keep rockin’ your blog selves!

Thanks for the Link Love, Rock Chick! This is a wonderful way to get it all going. I like Rock the Roll!
Let's not tip the boat over...I'm not a strong swimmer.

I liked this post a lot. I've been thinking about proposing a co-writing partnership with David Hassellhoff myself. The only problem is that I would have to translate my blog to German.

Rock the Roll is a great idea!!

Fun post and no problem even if you do run fast just to stay even.

I would rather be a has been
Than a might have been by far
A might have been has never been
While a has been was an are!

No one can compete with the story teller. Don't even try!

I've often struggled with the issue of blog popularity, readership, independent wealth and personal satisfaction. I've read all the tips about improving "blogebrity" but most require me to do something I'm not interested in (like social bookmarking) Unfortunately, I don't visit enough people to expand my "web friends" as much as I should.

So on that note, thanks for visiting and I'm glad you liked the video.

Aww thanks for the love!! I consider you to be one of my best blog friends =)

Ok - question for you - what songs are currently on your ipod? Or if there are like three hundred what are the most listened to songs on your ipod? I want to know what music you like and possibly be introduced to some new bands!
