Time After Time
Today is my and JW’s (the hubby, of course) 15th wedding anniversary. Yeah! As I always do in my own mini-celebration, I take out our wedding pictures and look through them. I don’t know why I do this because every year I remember that I can’t stand any of our wedding pictures.
My wedding was fantastic. The poorly photographed ceremony was actually very beautiful and since neither of us are formal, sit down and serve "wedding chicken" (yawn!) people, we decided to have a party instead of a traditional wedding reception.
We rented out the party room within our condo association, hired a DJ, a caterer and we threw one heck of a party. People still tell me to this day that that was the best wedding reception they had ever been to. I agree. It was certainly the best one I have ever attended :)
The pictures, though, don’t represent this at all. They all look too posed and there’s not one photo of anyone having even a remotely good time at the reception. Just a bunch of pictures of our friends and family posing against the portable backdrop the photographer brought with him to the party. Oh well, what can you do. Fortunately, my wedding video is fantastic, but I really don’t need any of these things to recall how much I love my hubby. I think about that every day :)
Anyway, I thought I’d share two of the better ones. These were not posed and they are the only two that I sort of like.
This is also the one year anniversary of my blog! I thought it might be fun to look back at my very first post called “I Do”. Obviously, my blogging abilities have improved tremendously. That is undoubtedly one of the most boring posts I’ve ever seen in the blogosphere.
Today also starts the week long celebrations in the Rock Chick Household. This upcoming week, my oldest daughter celebrates her Sweet 16 (I really can’t even believe that!), I turn 41 (I really don’t want to believe that) and the hubby is celebrating the big 42. Yes, it's a houseful of Geminis!
Sometimes I can’t believe how fast the roller coaster of life travels, but one things for sure, it’s been a great ride! Let the parties begin!

Happy Anniversary and birthday(s). My 15th is coming up in September, and I am left wondering how did that happen?
