Apocalipstick

Who knew something as harmless as lipstick could cause such controversy?

I am not a pitbull, I'm more of a catlike chick who also loves lipstick. I feel naked without it. I am pleading with our presidential candidates to stop this negative attack campaigning before I develop some bizarre pork related phobia and/or have to walk around with pale, lackluster lips because of the potential adverse connotations that might become associated with my precious glosses.

Since we actually have video of both of our presidential candidates using this expression and using it in regard to political beliefs and not individuals in particular, can we just call this a draw and move forward?

Please?

Here’s McCain:

Oh if only they would debate issues instead of picking on each other. Are they trying to gloss over their own failings by pointing at the other guys? It's why I don't like politics...cause it's not about politics!

Good post, Jessica. You feel nekkid without lipstick? I think I threw all mine away!

Hey Shelly- I swear, if I didn't look it up online, I doubt I'd know where either candidate stood on anything. All I know is they disagree with the other guy...or gal :)

Threw away your lipstick? I've never heard of such a thing? Why? When we meet up one of these days, I'll let you borrow one of mine :)

This story is one of the reasons I sometimes hate politics. Instead of talking about what's important (the economy, the war, etc.) they are focusing on a harmless comment that most people are smart enough to realize (I hope) wasn't directed at Gov. Palin. November 4th can't get here fast enough.

Jenny: I'm sure Shelly meant it, too! LOL She has a way with words like no one I've ever met!

Malcolm: I agree. I hate the time right before elections. It's ridiculous.
