Q & A #1 (Blogathon #2)
I thought it might be fun (and a great source of posting ideas!) to take some NC-17 or less rated questions from my fans and I even promised to answer honestly! If you have a question, ask away at jessicatherockchick@yahoo.com!
The first randomly selected question comes from Sparky Duck. Who, by the way, is also participating in Blogathon. So when you're done reading this, head on over there and tell him THE Rock Chick sent you :)
Sparky Duck wants to know why I am a rock chick or does rock chick mean “groupie”?
My answer: Besides the obvious “I Love Rock and Roll” thing, I actually do work for two Chicago area bands. I used to have 3 of them, but one went kaput.
Anyway, for one band, I designed and maintain their website, logo and promotional posters. They are a little more low-key and don’t require all of my rock chicking skills. Which is ok, because between my regular job, 4 kids, the hubby, all my pets, blogging and The BahUna’s band, there’s few available time slots :)
For the The Big BahUna’s band- (my favorite band next to Bon Jovi), I’ve designed and maintain their website, logo, promotional materials, “fan wear” (t-shirts and all that stuff) and I am the official band photographer. I’ve also been known to provide a little unlicensed therapy now and then, as well :)
I take photos at the gigs of the band, the crowd, etc. and while at the gigs, of course, I do some dancing. Let me tell you, it is not easy to dance and take pictures at the same time! I even did it with whiplash at one gig! That’s what makes me THE (capital letter) Rock Chick standing apart from other lower case rock chicks.
Here’s how I am described by the BahUna:
“Webmistress of cyberspace! Purveyor of all that is web-based! Talented and diligent to the extreme, Jessica's talents include web-design, support, merchandizing, photography and "rock-chicking". Drop her a line, but don't play poker with her.”
I swear have no idea what The BahUna means when he’s talking about that poker thing! I wonder why would anyone would warn people about playing poker with cute, sweet and friendly me? ;)

Well, it sounds like the Rock Chick gig is a pretty difficult one. Purveyor of all that is web-based? Shoot why didn't you tell me that? Did you just not want to have to do any favors?
Hi Shelly-
Well, that might be a little extreme, but I am one heck of a rock chick!!!! Thanks for checking in! This is WAY harder than I thought it would be, Hopefully, I'll get in my groove soon :)
