Sweet Dreams
Are made of this. Generosity!
My friend Shelly has a BIG dream... to raise $21,000 to allow 150 children suffering from cancer to attend summer camp at Camp Sanguinity in TX at no cost to their families.
Read about her Share A Square project for Camp Sanguinity here!
I want to help Shelly reach this goal so I’m having a raffle for an Apple iPod Shuffle! That’s right a 1 GB Apple iPod Shuffle in the color of your choice!
And all you have to do to be entered is make a donation in any amount, spread the word, leave a comment and you’re entered! Easy enough! Read about how to enter the Apple IPod Shuffle raffle here!
NOW TO NEW NEWS: My bloggy friend, Crystal, is a talented jewelry maker and designer. She has generously offered to donate a $10 gift certificate from her store, 2 Belles and a Bead, as a raffle item along with the Ipod Shuffle! How cool is that!!!! I already own three different necklaces that Crystal made and I get compliments on them all the time. Her jewelry is not only beautiful, it’s great quality and affordable!
Thank you, Crystal...you rock!
Now a donation in any amount to my raffle will also enter you for a chance to win an Apple iPod Shuffle OR a gift certificate to 2 Belles and a Bead!
Don’t forget my own talented daughter, Samantha Hollywood, owner of Fashionably Late Layouts, will custom design a MySpace template for you or anyone for a $10 or more donation to Shelly’s Camp Sanguinity Fund. That’s an automatic win right there!
I know that times are tight for everyone right now. Gas and food prices are rising like no tomorrow and we’re all feeling the strain in our pockets.
Small donations, even in the amounts of $1 or $5 from many people still add up. The cost of one cup of coffee on your part can help to make a huge difference in the life of a sick child and their family.
C’mon, send in a dollar or two, or whatever you can and enter for your chance to win an iPod Shuffle or a gift certificate to 2 Belles and a Bead and when you lay down at night you can have sweet dreams knowing that your generosity will be putting a smile on the face of a very sick child. That’s priceless!
If anyone else has anything they’d like to offer up in my raffle to take place on May 16th, please just e-mail me at jessicatherockchick@yahoo.com.

How are the donations coming along? Any updates?
Hi Jamie!
Shelly did a post in the last few days stating the amount raised in about $680.00 so far. A long way off from the $21,000 she had hope to achieve, but I believer that any amount raised is going to benefit all those kids going this summer in one way or another!
We'll keep trying!
